Job duties: The Dahlgren Division Picatinny Detachment has multiple acquisition engineering and in-service engineering vacancies for scientists and engineers. Exciting opportunities exist in the in-service and acquisition of Navy ammunition and gun weapon systems. Typical in-service engineering assignments include maintaining the technical documentation of the assigned weapon system and performing investigations, analyses, and correcting design and operational deficiencies. Acquisition engineers do much of the same, but focus on production issues.
